I had purchased the Ultimate Vinyl Record Carry Bag. I'm really happy with the bag, and with the customer service I received.
My initial purchase was defective (smaller pocket). However, I sent a picture of the defect and they sent me a replacement right away and without any trouble. They even followed up to make sure that I received the replacement and was happy with the product. Great company!

Great construction and design. Ample space for records. However the straps are not long enough. The bag rides really high against the torso. Would have preferred adjustable straps or at least handles.

Absolutely great purchase

I brought the bag with me on a weeks-long trip to the UK and Spain and it fully protected my LPs on 4 flights and multiple rail and subway rides. The bag makes LP-shopping while on vacation overseas doable, which greatly improved the quality of my vacation! Other bags I had considered were larger and geared toward DJs; this one is a more practical size for a semi-serious record collector like me, and it looks great, too.

Very nicely made. Separate pouches for LPs and for 45's. Strap is long enough to properly go around a full-sized adult. Nice purchase.

Nice to have when shopping.

The bag is perfect for record-shopping and transport. I do wish it had a shoulder strap (a removable would be ideal), because I crate dig with both hands and want to keep the bag slung over my shoulder on my back. The handles are too snug for me to use in that way, though for smaller folks they may do the trick.

Nice addition to my record hobby

This bag is highly whatever in my book. No padding on the carrying straps facilitates an undesirable experience using the bag. This is a $30ish bag at best.

These bags are great quality, perfect for carrying my Vinyl around or going to the record store.

Bought an extra one for my good friend. It will be a surprise gift when we go record shopping in Berlin

This bag is amazing! I use it daily to move my records between work and home. I also have taken it to quite a few record stores and I have sung its praises to those who would listen. I highly recommend this bag!

I never received my bag so I can't leave a review. Where is it?

Really happy with the bag. Strong and secure, and well padded. Had an issue and customer service was prompt and attentive. Great to take when you’re on a record buying binge.

We all know that lugging vinyl around can be a chore. On a recent trip to NYC, where one of my favourite shops is in The VIllage, this proved not only to be handy but the perfect size for getting on and off the subway. Secure, waterproof and comfortable - brilliant!

I bought the vinyl carrying bag for a friend and he just loves it. He has been able to add a collection of pins to the outside and is able to carry many records safely with him as he travels from place to place. He loves it! Very good quality.

Would love to write a review but product never arrived.

I would actually like to start a return. The product is great. I bought it for my brothers birthday but he already had a similar product

Great quality and looks wonderful! It gets a little heavy on the shoulder when you've filled it up. I'd love to see a padded strap.

The Good - great bag, have used it twice now at the local store. Looking foreword to taking it to a record show next month. Padded and protected the records very well. Great for taking vinyl home from the store.
The Bad - Lack of a full shoulder strap means i have to take it off and place it on the stack next to the one I'm looking through so it doesn't fall off. So the 4/5 stars is due to it being fairly useless in the store browsing.

Very nice bag. Could use a full shoulder strap

The classy Record Roots Ultimate Vinyl Record Carry Bag + Soundburger portable player and bluetoooth speaker sure makes a rainy weekend hotel stay 1000% better! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Great Christmas present for my brother-in-law! And the seller was very kind and responsive. I will definitely buy one for myself! 10/10 Highly Recommend!

I love going to record stores when I'm traveling!
I've used everything from a book bag to a back pack to bring whatever I pick up back home. That can be a precarious situation and it offers little to no protection for my latest precious gems. So when I saw an ad for this bag, I knew that it would be perfect for my international vinyl shopping. This bag can handle a small to medium sized haul and protects whatever I buy. The construction and quality is absolutely superb. I bought a second one for my partner for Christmas. Definitely a must have for people to transport their vinyl safely.

Product arrived in a timely manner and was as advertised.

I am quite happy with this bag. It seems fairly well made and the straps are the perfect length for hanging it on your shoulder. Helped me safely transport records on a commute.
My only complaint is that I would have expected more padding considering the price. Don't get me wrong, it's way better than a regular record-shaped shopping bag that you might get at a record store, and it should be sufficient, but I expected a bit more.

Great buy and right on time

Bag is well made & looking forward to taking it on my travels to bring precocious records as a carry on for air travel. A great way to safeguard vinyl.

My husband loves it perfect for when he goes to the record stores….

I wanted to send a thank-you and review regarding the Record Roots Vinyl Sling Bag. I have been looking for something like this for seriously about 20 years, and I’m so excited to see it in production now.
Bottom line: If you need to take records in and out of your house or apartment in all kinds of weather, this is what you need.
I have been a radio DJ on a community radio station for many years–the kind of station where you bring your own music to do your show–and if it’s rainy or snowy, the show must go on. And then of course there are lots of other reasons to move records in and out of my house, heading to friends houses, crate digging at my favorite record stores, you name it.
What I’ve been doing up to now is using the usual little tote bags that you get from record stores or record labels, and they’re okay-ish, but they’re really only made to hold like 5-ish records at a time. Plus they’re wide open on the top, and most of them are made of a cloth material that isn’t waterproof at all. So sometimes I’ve had to resort to putting records inside garbage bags, and then putting those in the totes, which is kind of a drag. I used some bike panniers for a while, which were somewhat better, but they still didn’t totally seal shut at the top, and they didn’t really offer any protection at all–they’re made for holding grocery bags, not records.
This Record Roots bag is the perfect solution. It’s still very lightweight, but it has room to hold around 36 12’’ records, and another 10 7’’ record in the zipper compartment in front. The whole thing is made of a polyester canvas material that’s quite water resistant, and there is some padding built in all around, too. Then it has a hard insert at the bottom that retains shape, too.
There’s a little extra room all around, so you can even get box sets to fit in here just fine!
Most importantly, the top then zips up and tucks in, so you can really keep water out of this thing. I’ve never seen a zipper like this before, but it has like some kind of membrane that comes together right behind the zipper as you zip it up that really minimizes the potential for water intrusion. They don’t say that it’s fully waterproof, but it’s mighty water resistant overall, and I feel way less stressed taking records out in this bag.
It holds a lot more records than the usual tote bags, too, which is perfect for radio shows or a particularly good haul at a record store. Thanks again for making this, Record Roots folks!
